~ Be Flawsome!
With advanced training in Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy and ACT, I use mindfulness techniques with my clients to help alleviate stress,
anxiety, depression, PTSD, OCD, substance abuse, and addictions. I have practiced mindfulness meditation and Metta (Compassion) meditation for
almost two decades and can personally attest to its benefits. I am also trained in Schema Therapy, which is a form of depth psychology. To learn more about these therapies, please visit their websites:  Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and  Schema Therapy .

Currently, I am in advanced training for Certification as an Emotionally Focused Couples Therapist.
A lovely Irish proverb says: It is in the shelter of each other that people live.  We are hard-wired to love and
be loved, to connect and be connected; it's in our DNA. Emotionally Focused Therapy gives us an empirically
tested road map to bring couples to a place of healthy interconnection and interdependence. I will help
you stop the dance of blame, distancing and mutual hurt. We will focus on the negative cycle that has
become your mutual enemy and learn to change the music to a new dance of closeness and connection.

I was  fortunate to do my Externship under Dr. Sue Johnson, the developer of EFT. Here is a video in which
Dr. Johnson discusses what EFT is and how EFT works: Emotionally Focused Therapy. You can also learn
more about EFT on their website: The International Centre for Excellence in Emotionally Focused Therapy.

As a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and National Board Certified Counselor (NCC), I graduated from
Mercer University with an MS in Community Counseling. I hold membership in the Licensed Professional
Counselors Association of Georgia, The National Board for Certified Counselors, The Association for Contextual
Behavioral Science, and The International Centre for Excellence in Emotionally Focused Therapy (ICEEFT).

The overwhelming pressures and complications of modern life can leave you feeling disconnected ~ disconnected from yourself and others, and disconnected from your values, goals, and dreams. You may feel out of sorts and be in need of someone who can listen, provide support, and give you the tools to find balance, fulfillment, and happiness in life.

I provide a safe and comfortable place where you can talk openly and be heard and understood; a compassionate place of healing and growth that will open the door to self-discovery. Utilizing evidence-based practices, I help you discover the roots of your conflict and suffering so you can understand what's keeping you "stuck" in certain areas of your life. I help you find resolutions that bring positive change so you can reach your goals and become the individual, or couple, you are meant to be.
